Peel-Raamstelling - Weir / distribution work (S11)

The concrete weir/distributor S11 was built in 1939. The distributor regulates the height of the water level in the Defence Canal. The excess water is ultimately discharged into the Maas via several connected canals. The distributor is in reasonably good condition. The original manually operated movement system is still present and the concrete weir floor and walls are also intact. S-casemate K59 was constructed to defend the distributor.
