The Fovant Badges

Fovant was chosen in 1915 as teh site of an army training camp which housed up to 20.000 soldiers at any one time. Whilst the soldiers were here they have built their regimental insignia on the hillside. The first badge is believed to have been the 5th (City of London) Battalion, London Rifles Brigade.
