The concrete weir and distribution structure was built in 1939. The distributior regulates the height of the water level in the Defence Canal. The excess water is eventually drained into the Maas via several connected canals. Two rows of sharp steel rods can be seen in the concrete superstructure. This prevented the infantry from crossing the canal at this location. The distribution structure is in reasonably good condition.
