Marker Voie de la Liberté
This is one of the markers of Liberty Road (Voie de la Liberté) of the 2ème Division Blindée (2nd Armoured Division). The route taken by the 2ème Division Blindée from Normandy to northern France to Strasbourg. There is a marker (borne) at every kilometre and the route passes through a large number of towns.
Plaque on marker:
‘Dedicated to the brave and gallant men of the U.S. troops who fought for the liberation of our village’.
