At the corner of Rue Métrin Vinâve and Voie du Puits is the monument to the fallen of World War I and World War II from Houtain-Saint-Siméon.
Commemorated are
FRENAY Joseph, age 21, soldier with the 4th Regiment Hunters on Foot, died at Cabour Hospital as a result of illness on October 23rd, 1918.
GUINOTTE Jacques, age 23, soldier with the artillery of la Position Fortifiée de Liège, died in captivity at Schwagstorf-Wittlage, Germany, as a result of illness on March 11th, 1917.
LEPOT Adrien, age 34, soldier with the 2nd Line Regiment, died as a result of an explosion at the munitions factory at Gonfreville-l'Orcher (France) on December 11th, 1915. His body was never recovered.
TILQUIN Dieudonné, age 30, private with the 18th Line Regiment, died October 23rd, 1918 at Aalter, from a wound in the chest received on the battlefield.
TROQUET Nestor, age 21, private of the 12th linieregiment, died on October 17th, 1918 in the hospital of Hoogstade as a result of battlefield wounds.
Died during the 2nd World War.
FURNELLE Henri, 19 years !, soldier in the garrison of Fort Eben-Emael, Régiment Fortifiée de Liège, killed during the fighting on May 10th, 1940 (explosion by a hollow charge on the observation turret of bloc IV) at Fort Eben-Emael.
