Construction of Ordensburg Krössinsee began on 22 April 1934 and was officially inaugurated on 24 April 1936. Ordensburg Krössinsee was a National Socialist training base and one of three NS Ordensburgs. A small part of the base was destroyed by fire on 29 June 1944. Today the complex is a Polish military base. Two large brick towers from the NS period are still standing.
