Krosno Airport

This airport opened in 1932 and was expanded in 1938/1939. In 1938, the Bydgoszcz Air Cadet School was moved here. The airport was bombed by the Luftwaffe on 1 September 1939 and was used for air raids against the USSR in the following war years. The German army blew up the airport facilities in September 1944.

Adolf Hitler took a plane from here to Uman in Ukraine on August 28, 1941 to visit several army headquarters.
