Former German Military Training Grounds Rügenwalde

During World War II, this area was a military training ground for artillery units. Adolf Hitler visited the complex on 18/19 March 1943 to attend a demonstration with an 80cm. Eisenbahngeschutz "Dora". The gun fired two projectiles in the presence of Hitler.

Today, part of the original complex is still military terrain. The enormous German concrete constructions are still here. There are also German bunkers on the beach. These are all freely accessible.
