War Memorial Col du Petit St. Bernard

This memorial commemorates French servicemen killed during the fighting in the Petit Saint Bernard valley during World War II. The valley was battleground in 1940 during the Italian invasion of France, which aimed to capture the Alps near the French-Italian border and areas near Nice. In 1944 and 1945, there was fierce fighting between French and German troops in the liberation of France.

The monument is located on the road between the village of La Rosière and the Col du Petit Saint Bernard. The coordinate given may not be entirely accurate.
