Tank Barrier Bubbenei

Despite the fact that Switzerland was neutral during World War II and had no immediate threat from its neighbours (especially Germany and Italy), they did prepare for a possible war and fortifications were built everywhere.

These concrete tank barrier (dragon's teeth) are a relic of this era. They are part of a larger defensive work with bunkers in the area of the river Emme. Most of these works have been demolished but these dragon's teeth and the information boards with explanations have remained as reminders of the period from 1939 to 1945.
