Memorial B-17G 42-39799

On Feb. 4, 1944, B-17G 42-39799 "Dobie" of the 349th Bomb Squadron, 100th Bomb Group, 8th USAAF crashed here in the area. They were on their way to Frankfurt when the aircraft was attacked by 3 German fighters.
