More than 2,000 people who lost their lives in the World Wars and as victims of the National Socialist dictatorship are buried in this, Wiesbaden's largest cemetery.
These graves belong to German soldiers and civilian victims of the air war, prisoners of war, forced labourers, especially from Eastern Europe, displaced persons and victims of the ‘euthanasia killings’.
The ‘Graves Act’ of the Federal Republic of Germany stipulates that their graves must be kept and maintained indefinitely. The city of Wiesbaden is responsible for maintaining the graves.
