The Jedburghs were
a Special Forces Unit of 300 volunteers
who parachuted behind enemy lines
in small mixed-nationality teams
to take arms and support
to resistance fighters in Europe
and the Far East."


83 American, 90 British, 103 French, 5 Belgian and 5 Dutch personnel made up the 93 Jedburgh teams that parachuted into France and the 8 teams into the Netherlands on the night of 5/6th June 1944 to support Operation Overlord (D-Day)
