Former R.A.F. Ludham

Royal Air Force Ludham, (also known as RNAS Ludham, HMS Flycatcher and USAAF Station 177) was a satellite airfield to RAF Coltishall buit in 1941 and operational until 1946.
It was also used by the Royal Naval Air Service and in 1944 was upgraded to three concrete runways and 50 new dispersal sites added for use by the USAAF but they never arrived.
It was primarily home to Supermarine Spitfire Squadrons as well as Hawker Typhoons.
Now days the site is home to a private flying club, using part of the one remaining runway but there are also various buildings from its wartime era in existence as well as some of the airfield peritrack.
