Plaque Peace without freedom is no peace

The words of the first Chancellor Konrad Adenauer can be read on this plaque: "Peace without freedom is no peace." The plaque was donated in 1988 by Member of Parliament Heinz Schwarz, former Minister of the Interior of Rhineland-Palatinate, who witnessed the fighting on the bridge as a young anti-aircraft gunner.
