The Squadron Standard was laid up on 11 March 2005 when 54 Squadron, then flying Sepecat Jaguars was disbanded at nearby RAF Coltishall
Aircraft flown: Royal Aircraft Factory B.E.2c & B.E. 12, Avro 505, Bristol Scout, Sopwith Pup & Camel, Armstrong Whitworth Siskin, Bristol Bulldog, Gloster Gauntlet & Gladiator, Supermarine Spitfires, Mk1, Mk 11a, MkVa, Mk11b, MkVb, MkVc,MkV111, Hawker Tempest, de Haviland VampireMk1, F3 &FB.5, Gloster meteor, Hawker Hunter F1, F4, F6 &FGA9, McDonnell Douglas Phantom, SEPECAT Jaguar Gr1 & GR3.
54 Sqdn is still an operational squadron flying out of RAF Waddington.

The Squadron Standard was laid up in 1967 when the squadron flying Hastings, Canberra and Varsity aircraft out of RAF Watton was disbanded.

The Squadron standard was laid up on 31st May 2007 when the squadron then flying Jaguars was disbanded.
