War Memorial Pailhe

On the Route de Givet is a monument commemorating the soldiers and civilians killed in the 1st and 2nd World Wars of the village of Pailhe.

Commemorated in front are

DARDENNE Stephany, age 20, soldier with the 9th line regiment, died on June 3rd, 1915 in the hospital of Adinkerke (West Flanders) from wounds sustained (spinal fracture) by bullets and a handgrenade. He is buried in the nearby Pailhe cemetery. (photo 3).

DE THEUX Henri, Chevalier (Knight), age 19 !, war volunteer, soldier with the Medical Corps, missing in action at Pervijze (West Flanders) since October 26th, 1914.
