Memorial for a hanged 17-Year-Old

This memorial commemorates a 17-year-old who was hanged here by the National Socialists in the last days of April 1945. Believing that during the capture of Berlin by the Russians, he refused to defend the city any longer. These criminal executions took place en masse in those final weeks of the war.

The memorial is dedicated a him and all others who refused further participation in the war and were therefore killed.
