War Memorial Liberators Sint-Niklaas

At the beginning of Parklaan is the monument to the British liberators.
The location is symbolic because it was here that on Saturday September 9, 1944, around noon, the first British combat units entered the city center of Sint-Niklaas. They reached the Grote Markt via Kokkelbeekstraat.

The text on the sober monument reads:
"Sint-Niklaas thanks its British liberators"
