The Strongest Link Garden

Winston Churchill described Biggin Hill as 'the strongest link' when referring to its vital role in the defence of London during both World Wars.

"The Strongest Link Garden
Unveiled by Randolph Churchill on 15th September 2022. The Strongest Link Garden is a tribute to the men and women who served at RAF Biggin during the Battle of Britain.
Created by award winning designer John Everiss, funded by Project Giving Back and London Biggin Hill Airport, the four meter high statue constructed from 223 laser cut stainless steel layers, was exhibited at the2022 RHS Chelsea Flower showin support of the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund.

Standing abeam the runway approach, the statue and garden is a powerful and moving link to the past whilst also recognising the vital support of the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund has provided to the RAF Family for more than a hundred years"
