Stumbling Stone Oude Delft 90

This brass memorial plaque (Stolperstein or stumbling stone) commemorate:

* PAUL HERMAN VAN DANTZIG (born 1921, deported from Drancy, murdered 30-4-1943, Auschwitz).

This Stumbling Stone is here for a Jewish war victim deported and murdered in the Second World War.

Paul Herman was a student at the then Higher Technical School (now Technical University Delft).
During the war he tried to flee to safer places. He was arrested in France. On 11 February 1943 he was deported to Auschwitz via the Drancy transit camp, together with a number of other family members.

Before his studies he lived in Rotterdam, at Heemraadsingel 237. A Stolperstein is also located at this address for him. (see Stolpersteine ​​Heemraadssingel 237
