On the wall of the military cemetery is a granite monument to the victims of the Second World War. A cross of Lorraine is engraved between the years.
Below are the names of those who died for France during the Battle of Saulieu on June 16, 1940, as well as the names of the victims, prisoners and deportees of the Second World War.
There are also 2 memorial plaques. One is for Jean Schneider, a medical reserve colonel who, together with his medical team, treated the victims of the Battle of Saulieu on June 16, 1940. The other plate commemorates Lucien Cany, who died during his deportation.
The cemetery also contains a memorial plaque for General Jean de Lattre de Tassigny, who liberated Saulieu with the First French Army on September 9, 1944.
