Belgian War Graves Dison

The Dison municipal cemetery contains several Belgian war graves. Central among the graves is the monument to the fallen of World War II.

CLAESSENS Frans, age 25, soldier with the 25th line regiment, killed at Bavikhove on May 24th, 1940.
DEJOSÉ Albert, age 22, soldier with the 3rd artillery regiment , killed in action at Mons on May 15,th 1940.

Buried among the fallen soldiers are also resistance fighters from the Armée Secret, among others, who died during acts of war. Such as;

CLEEREN Roger, age 19 !, executed at Banneux on Sept. 6th, 1944. At Banneux he is commemorated on a separate monument at the site where he was executed.
