This monument, inaugurated on October 4, 2019, commemorates that Bapaume was twice awarded a war decoration: on October 10, 1919 with La Légion d'Honneur in relation to the Battle of Bapaume of 1871 and on August 9, 1929 with La Croix de Guerre.
