Tank ditch and trench Reuver
This tank ditch and trench are a partial reconstruction of the first defence lines that were dug here in the autumn of 1944 by the Germans as part of the Maasstellung by prisoners of war and forced labourers. This position, which was part of the Maas-Ruhr-Stellung, was intended to delay any Allied advance across the Meuse.
