German War Graves Wittlich

In the late 1950s, an honorary cemetery was constructed in Wittlich at the cemetery on Burgstrasse according to the plans of architect Karnatz.
462 people are buried here as war dead: mostly soldiers, but also prisoners of war, forced laborers, victims of the Christmas bombing. A military cemetery was established as early as the war year of 1945.
There are tiles with names on them in the grass, there is still a cross here and there, but most of the names are on the high gravestones.
