Memorial Subcamp Wittlich

During the Second World War, a labor camp for French prisoners of war and a subcamp of the Hinzert concentration camp were established in Wittlich. This contained mainly Polish, Italian and Luxembourgish prisoners.

On one of the sides of the honorary cemetery, near the cross, there is another memorial to the victims of this Wittlich subcamp.

"Remember those who
were persecuted and abused
between 1940 and 1942
in the Wittlich subcamp
and all the victims of the
national socialism
between 1933 and 1945"
