Wargraves Micheroux

In the churchyard of the church Notre Dame de la Visitation at Micheroux are 8 graves of civilian victims and 1 soldier of the 1st World War. They are also remembered on the plaque at the municipal school a little up the road.

TROISFONTAINES J. and THONNARD civilian victims

GOERRES Pierre, age 74, and his grandson of 8 weeks old ! Both were killed by the Germans during the night of August 5-6, 1914.

SCHREURS M., age 27, civilian victim, killed on August 6th, 1914.

ENGLEBERT Antoine, age 27, civilian victim.

HOTTON Constant, born April 22, 1887, soldier with the 14th line regiment, killed but unknown when.
