Crash Site Vickers Wellington HF542
Vickers Wellington HF542 crashed here in the early hours of June 12, 1943. The aircraft was en route to the target Düsseldorf when it was shot down by a German night fighter. The five Canadian crew members of the Wellington were killed. Three of them are buried in Varsseveld. The other two were never found. They may be buried here in a field grave.
