At the Geeste cemetery, at the back against a hill, stands a memorial commemorating the victims of World War II. The memorial consists of a stone plaque with inscription and image of a kneeling Mary with Jesus at her feet. To the left and right are inscriptions of those who perished during the period '39 to '45. Below on the base, the sandstone wall, another additional plaque with the names of some of the missing.
