Belgian War Graves Grivegnée

The Grivegnée municipal cemetery contains two honorary fields with Belgian War graves.

Among the buried on the section of World War II fallen soldiers are;

LEJAER Albert, age 25, soldier with the regiment de fortresse de Liège (RFL), killed May 23, 1940 at Audinghen (France).

MASSOZ Joseph, age 42, soldier, killed March 15, 1945 at Hausen (Germany).

PIRE Armand, age 22, soldier with the 12th lineregiment, killed May 24, 1940 at Kuurne.

PUTTERS Henri, sentry, killed April 7, 1945 at Neumünster (Germany), no further details known.

WILMOT Auguste, age 21, corporal with the 2nd regiment of frontier cyclists, killed May 20, 1940 at Regnauville (France).

ZEELKAM Louis, age 42, 1st sergeant major in the 4th infantry brigade, killed August 4, 1945 in Belfast (Northern Ireland).

BOTTIN Lucien, age 31, political prisoner, died May 1945.

BRUYLANTS Maximilien, age 27, political prisoner, died April 22, 1945 in captivity in Germany.

DAMOISAUX Charles, age 28, political prisoner, died December 22, 1944.

FASTRE Charles, age 49, deportee, died January 2, 1945.

HAQUET François, age 37, deportee, died April 29, 1945.

LODOMEZ Emile, age 26, member of the Armée Secret, died May 12, 1944.

MAES Joseph, age 28, political prisoner, executed July 9, 1943.

VAN LAEKEN Frans, age 50, deportee, died July 13, 1944.

WILKIN Victor, age 15!!, member of the Armée Secret, died on Christmas Day, December 25, 1944.
