Stolperstein Resistance fighter Jos Aerts Vosselaar

This small brass plaque (Stolpersteine), laid here on 11-11-2024 commemorates: Jos Aerts

Jos belonged to the resistance group ‘The Belgian National Movement’ (BNB).
He was arrested on 19 February 1944 during the large wave of arrests in the Kempen region. Through betrayal and infiltration, the Germans managed to arrest around 40 resistance fighters.
He stayed in several concentration camps in Germany where he was liberated on 29 May 1945.
