German Memorial to the 8th East Prussian Infantry Regiment No. 45 and war cemetery at Aubigny Castle

The memorial of the 8th East Prussian Infantry Regiment No.45,
was inaugurated on August 16, 1872, but is no longer in its original state.
There are also 4 grave monuments, one of which is still readable,
this one belongs to Ernst Theodor Alfter, lieutenant in the Westphalian IR no.15.

The 8th IR nr.45 lost here on August 31, 1870, at the 2nd battle of Colombey;
36 dead, 97 injured and 16 missing.
