Memorial 8th East Prussian Infantry Regiment Nr.45

German Memorial of the 8th East Prussian infantry regiment nr.45, was inaugurated on 16 August 1872, but is no longer in its original state. There are also 4 grave monuments, one of which is still readable, this one belongs to Ernst Theodor Alfter, lieutenant in the Westphalian IR nr.15.

The 8th IR nr.45 lost here on 31 August 1870, at the 2nd battle of Colombey: 36 dead, 97 wounded and 16 missing.
