War Memorial Rimont

This memorial commemorates the residents of Rimont who died in the Second World War.
The village of Rimont was on August 21th 1944, destroyed during the German retreat. 11 people were shot, 236 buildings were destroyed, 152 of them burned completely out. Due to this devastation 231 people became homeless. After this devastation, the village was named 'Village Martyr', Martyrs Village.
