Monument Fallen World War II St-Gilles

At the roundabout of Boulevard Sainte-Beuve and Boulevard Louis Hillier is the monument to the fallen of the district of St-Gilles.

The monument lists the fallen soldiers, resistance fighters and civilians who perished.

There is also a separate memorial to Jules Deltour opgerict.

The memorial to Doctor Jules Deltour mentions that he was arrested here by the Gestapo on June 23, 1943. He died in captivity in Aussig (D) on April 18, 1945.
