Kabelschaltbrunnen Bunker S-7 Sirjansland

This unmanned bunker S- (Schouwen-Duiveland) 7 was built in 1943 on behalf of the German Wehrmacht as part of the Atlantic Wall, a coastal defence line stretching from Norway to Spain. It is a so-called ‘Kabelschaltbrunnen’ or switching station for telephone connections between the headquarters of the Schouwen-Duiveland defence area in Dordrecht and units on the coast.

The bunker is closed but it is planned to open it to the public in due course.
