These brass plaques (Stolpersteine or stumbling stones), placed on 06-11-2024, commemorate:

* BERNARDUS JACOBUS DAVIDSON (born 1904, deported 23-03-1943 from Westerbork, murdered 26-03-1943, Sobibor).
* CHAJA DAVIDSON-LUBINSKI (born 1895, deported 23-03-1943 from Westerbork, murdered 26-03-1943, Sobibor).
* ELISABETH HAMMEL (born 1876, deported 23-03-1943 from Westerbork, murdered 26-03-1943, Sobibor).
* HENRI ROOS (born 1920, deported 18-05-1943 from Westerbork, murdered 21-05-1943, Sobibor).

These Stolpersteine lie here for Jewish war victims, persecuted, deported and murdered in World War II.

"Stolpersteine” is an art project for Europe by Gunter Demnig to commemorate victims of National Socialism (Nazism). Stolpersteine (stumbling stones) are small, 10x10cm brass plaques placed in the sidewalk in front of the last voluntary residence of (usually Jewish) victims of the Nazis. Each plaque is provided with the victim’s, date of birth, and fate. By doing this, Gunter Demnig gives an individual memorial to each victim. One stone, one name, one person. He cites the Talmud: “A human being is forgotten only when his or her name is forgotten.”
