Block C 3 was a bunker equipped with 2 adjacent turrets containing a 47 mm anti-tank gun. In addition, there was a 3rd turret equipped with a searchlight. (Photo 3)
Photo 3 shows what remains of the turret with the two-sided searchlight. A part of the cast iron conversion has been placed in the remainder of the turret and provisionally covered to prevent one from falling into the hole. The conversion shows 2 large-caliber bullet impacts.
Again, turrets were sold as scrap metal after the war. What remains are the holes where the turrets sat.
The bunker consisted of 2 floors. The lower floor contained the latrines for the bunker's crew. The bunker was connected to the fortress underground via the tunnel system.
Photo 5 gives a good overview of the strategic height of the fort in relation to its surroundings.
