Crash Site Armstrong Whitworth Whitley Mk. V P4968
Armstrong Whitworth Whitley Mk. V P4968 made a successful ditching on 20 August 1940. The crew were taken prisoner and remained in captivity for the entire war.
The wreck was salvaged by a scrap dealer in 1948. A marker post has stood here since 2024.
