Central massif fortress Embourg
The central massif of Fort Embourg was equipped with a turret with a 210 mm mortar.
The turret was removed in later ages, but it is still visible where the turret was located centrally on the massif.
After World War II when the strategic no longer had any strategic value for the defense of Belgium, most of the forts were dismantled. Among them was fort Embourg. The fort was stripped of all the iron that was sold as scrap metal.
After all the ages, the central spot of the turret is still visible.
