This is the central massif of Fort Flémalle with the entrance to the fort.
The entrance was defended by four machine guns in the flanking blocks of the entrance. These were severely damaged by shelling during the war. Behind the entrance on the right were the decontamination rooms for the soldiers who had been contaminated by chemical warfare outside.
The right side of the block, not visible because it was covered with earth, contained, among other things, the kitchen, fuel oil storehouse, latrines, living quarters, and various defense rooms from which it was possible to fire into the tank trench. also, at the end of the block, the turret with the 75 mm cannon could be reached.
