Commonwealth War Graves Beaufort-en-Argonne

At the cemetery in Beaufort-en-Argonne are five war graves of the Commonwealth. These are the graves of P/O A.M. Camplin, F/L G.C. Cooke, P/O B.C. Goodwin, Sgt F. Morrell and Sgt M. Reynolds.
On 21 December 1942 at 16:50 departed from the airbase Syerston, the Lancaster R5574 with the mission: a raid over the city of Munich in Germany. For unknown reasons it crashed in Beaufort-en-Argonne. In the crash all six crew members got killed, five are buried in this cemetery. The sixth crew member F/S B.G. Louch is missing.
