Hospitalbunker type 638 West Souburg

Souburg East and West are separated by the canal through Walcheren and are part of the municipality of Vlissingen.
In the opposite of the war memorial in Souburg East and West at the Marnixsquare, the almost entirely underground hospital bunker can be seen of the type 638. The walls of the bunker have been overgrown with trees and shrubs. Only the roof of the bunker is visible. The bunker probably has an adjoining Tobruk that probably was used more as a lookout. The bunker could house twenty wounded and had also the possibility for surgery.
