Commonwealth War Graves Dordrecht

Dordrecht General Cemetery contains a large plot with Dutch war graves. This plot also contains 15 Commonwealth war graves.

Among them are the seven crew members of the RAF Avro Lancaster LM169. This plane collided with RAF Avro Lancaster LM693 on September 16, 1944 around 23:00 during an attack on the Moerdijk Bridge. Both aircraft crashed close together in and near the Mariapolder in Strijensas.

The crew of the RAF Avro Lancaster LM693 is buried in Strijen.
