War Memorial Clitheroe

This memorial commemorates the residents of Clitheroe who were killed or missing in World War I (324 names) and World War II (74 names).

Many of these memorials were erected after the First World War. After the Second World War, the names of those who died in that war were also added to the memorial.

The plaque on the war memorial at Clitheroe Castle commemorates the residents of Clitheroe and the men of the St. Johns Ambulance Brigade who gave their lives in the South-African War (2nd Boer War).
