100th Bomb Group Memorial Museum

The museum is housed in a restored former control tower of the American bomber base and a couple of nissen huts. It is dedicated to the famous "Bloody Hundredth" (100th) USAAF Bomb Group during World War II. The museum tells the story about the AF Thorpe Abbott's Aerodrome (aka USAAF Station 139), the history of the 100th Bomb Group and the life on this base during the Second World War. Regularly there are special events and reunions at the museum. There's also a memorial for general Curtis E. Lemay at site.
