Commonwealth War Graves Laneuville-à-bayard

On the General Cemetery in Laneuville-à-Bayard, are seven Commonwealth war graves. These are the graves of Sgt H.D. Clark, P/O W.F. Collins, W.F.Evans, E.A.Hatch, Sgt L.G.A. Izod, S/L A.O. Murdoch and F/S Sgt Sgt J.H.Rees.
On 26 April 1944 at 21:41 departed from RAF Metheringham, the Lancaster JB601 with the mission a raid over the city of Schweinfurt in Germany. For unknown reasons it crashed into Laneuville-à-bayard. In the crash, seven crew members got killed, they are buried on this cemetery. One crew member survived the crash.
