This plaque, inside the St Michael the Archangel Church, commemorates the people of the parish who were killed or missing in World War I and World War II.
1914 – 1918
Harry CONSTABLE: was a gunner in the Royal Field Artillery. He fought in Flanders and France where he died on May 1, 1916. He is buried in Villers-Bocage (Fr.). He was 23 years old.
Alfred TICEHURST: 2nd Battalion Royal Sussex Regiment. He fought in Flanders and France where he was killed in action on May 9, 1915, aged 19.
1939 – 1945
William Douglas WALDEN: Volunteer Flying Officer in the 31st Squadron of the Royal Air Force. Died on June 29, 1944 at the age of 27.
Richard Drummond-Hay BUCKNALL: Captain, 2nd Gurkha Rifles. He was killed in the Battle of Singapore on February 10, 1942, when he was 45 years old.
