Maginot Line - Fort Restefond

This fort is constructed from 1890 to 1900 and is in the '30s attached to the Maginot line and modernised. During the battle of the Alpes, in June 1940, the fort was used as base for the French troops in the region against the advancing Italian army. The turrets and armor parts in the photos were intended for the nearby Maginot ouvrage Restefond.
